Application Process

Application for admission to the Hydrogeology Masters Program is made through the Graduate School. We strongly encourage potential graduates students to contact a graduate faculty member early in the application process.  This contact will provide you with a clearer picture of the Department, give you a better idea of research interests of faculty members, and provide a personal contact for questions you may have about the program and the application process.

Department deadline for fall admission is February 1.

Materials to be sent to the Admissions Office include:

  • Graduate School Application (apply online or download application)
  • GRE scores (Verbal and Quantitative)
  • One copy of all college and university transcripts
  • TOEFL scores (for foreign students)

You can request an application through the Admissions Office or by contacting Dr. Eric Peterson (the Hydrogeology Masters Program Coordinator) at or 309-438-7865.

Materials to be sent to the Department include:

  • Graduate Assistant Application
  • Three letters of reference from individuals who can attest to your potential for graduate study.
  • A statement of purpose that summarizes your reasons for wanting to go to graduate school.
