and Area Studies: Southern Arizona
Field Trip March 7-15, 2008
The geology of southern Arizona is
diverse. In this class, we will focus primarily on the
processes of Cretaceous volcanism (caldera formation and
collapse), Tertiary Basin and Range extension, and
Quaternary geomorphology and climate.
